Getting Ready for Galileo
Eclipse 3.5 release, aka Galileo is just around the corner. The final release will be at the end of June. Internally, we are already using Galileo for our own development and we are happy to report that nWire runs smoothly with this new release of Eclipse.
We will be adding official support for Eclipse 3.5 shortly after the final release, but this should not stop you from upgrading to the latest and greatest today. As always, if you do encounter any problems, please let us know.
What is new in Galileo? Well, the best source of information is the New and Noteworthy pages for all the milestone. You will instantly notice a new plugin installation dialog, block selection mode in the editor, ability to jump to a function reference or implementation and much more. Mac users can finally use Eclipse with Java 1.6 running in 64-bit mode with the SWT-Cocoa implementation. I will be blogging about it further in my blog in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned.
