Install nWire Offline using Update Manager
Installing nWire Offline
Installing nWire online from the update site is the recommended installation method. The update manager takes care of installing missing dependencies and updating your software when an update becomes available. If you choose to install nWire manually, these tasks should be performed manually.
Step 1: Download the nWire update site archive
Click here to download a JAR file which contains the entire nWire update site. The size of the file is approximately 16 MB.
Step 2: Install using the Eclipse update manager
Follow the original installation instructions. Instead of using the update site URL use the Archived Site option and select the nWire archive you downloaded.
Step 3: Activate
- After Eclipse restarts, select Help → nWire Info...
- Click on Activate Trial
- In the dialog box, you may enter your contact details. This is optional. Click on Activate.
- nWire will attempt to contact the nWire server to activate your product. If the connection fails, nWire will open a dialog box with the activation URL
- Copy the activation URL and store it in a text file
- Open the activation URL in a web browser: this can be done on any machine connected to the internet and does not have to take place on the same machine
- Save the browser result in a text file
- In the nWire Info dialog box, click Manual Load
- Select the browser resulting text file
- Once the activation is complete, restart your Eclipse to start using nWire
